Fahrenheit is a temperature scale. It is proposed in 1724 and named by Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit. He is a German physicist. Today in most countries, Fahrenheit temperature scale is converted into Celsius scale. But in the United States and in several Caribbean nations it remains as the official scale and in the United Kingdom as a secondary scale.
The freezing point of water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit and boiling point is 212 degrees Fahrenheit on Fahrenheit scale, by placing the boiling and freezing point at 180 degrees apart. A degree on the specific Fahrenheit scale is 1⁄180 of the interval between the freezing point and the boiling point. But on the Celsius scale water's freezing and boiling points are 100 degrees apart. Temperature interval of 1 degree Fahrenheit is equal to an interval of 5/9 degrees Celsius. Absolute zero is defined as −273.15 °C. Negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to negative 40 degrees Celsius.
Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit based this Fahrenheit temperature scale on three temperature points. First point is zero point is determined by placing the thermometer in brine. He used a mixture of water, ice, and ammonium chloride. The second point is 100 degrees were the horse body temperature. And third point is 96 degrees was the human body temperature, called blood heat.
Fahrenheit is a temperature scale, used to describe temperatures inside offices, houses etc. Celsius is also a temperature scale, which used to describe temperature in Celsius degrees.
To convert, Fahrenheit temperature into Celsius at first, we have to begin by subtracting 32 from Fahrenheit number. Then the answer is divided by 9 and then multiplies by 5.
For example, if we want to change 95 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius, we have to subtract 32 from 95. The answer is 63. Then, 63 divided by 9 is 7. Finally, 7 multiplied by 5 is 35 degress Celsius.
We have to follow the following formula, if we want to convert Celsius into Fahrenheit. At first the Celsius temperature has to be multiplied by 9. Then the answer is divided by 5 and then adds 32.
For example, conversion of 20 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit: 20 multiplied by 9, is 180. 180 divided by 5 is 36. 36 plus 32 is 68 degree Fahrenheit. This conversion process can be done by Fahrenheit Celsius calculator.
Because of the complexity of the conversion formula, people use Fahrenheit Celsius calculator. A few degree Celsius and Fahrenheit pairs are very useful in everyday life. So, you can easily convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, and Celsius to Fahrenheit through Fahrenheit Celsius calculator.
